How I deal with it

Contrary to what people believe, being gay is not a matter of choice or a lifestyle, it´s something you´re born with, there´s no such thing as "turning" gay because of influence, environment, friends, being drunk, or the most outrageous reason of all, because he or she was forced or raped, if you´re straight nothing can or will change that and viceversa, now, there are some cases where heterosexual people want to try it, out of curiosity and discover that it was missing in their lives, that´s the only time when it becomes a choice and they decide to enjoy their real sexuality.

There will also be people who, in my opinion, will try to deny it or hyde it for fear of rejection from family, societay, friends or for even more personal reasons, I know the case of a very good friend of mine who had to "quit" being gay for his parents would remove him from the family inheritance should he not marry a woman before he turned 30, how frustrating and inconvenient can that be ?.

We´re all God´s creatures created by Him, and althought being gay it´s something we never asked for, we must embrace it, there is a purpose in live and being born gay is a big part of it, we deserve to be happy just like the person next door, after all we´re all alike and come from the same source of live, unfortunately in our society this issue is still a taboo and in some places considered a freak, pervert, sinner, among other ridiculous things, but this only comes from their ignorance of what being gay really is, wich should not affect us or the people who truly care about us, we have the right to be part of the society without being judged, or criticized for something that is not wrong like some might think, and those are the ones who need to look within themselves and see what are the things they need to change in their lives in order to be more tolerant and accept the way people around them are.

There´s nothing like feeling free and being honest, because the truth of the matter is that by being ourselves is how they in the long run learn how injust and wrong they have been towards individuals that are just trying to be part of a society and want to have a pleasent and fulfilling life, I for one always thought that all narrow-minded people I may find along the way have not found peace within themselves and need to be bitter and judgemental, but hey, I guess they have the right to be the way they want, we just have to IGNORE them.
